*Rockwell C-60. Blade hardness is measured on the Rockwell C scale. The higher the Rockwell number, the harder
the steel. Harder steel tends to hold an edge longer, while softer steel is easier to sharpen. Most blade steels range from
55C to 61C scale. A hardness of 56C or less results in a blade edge that tends to wear rather quickly, requiring frequent
sharpening. A hardness of 60C or above, results in blade edges that last the longest.
Kai series 7000 shears cut engineered textiles to at least 3X the
extent of similar competitive models before blade sharpening is required.
